"Hangin' around Nothing to do but frownRainy Days and Mondays always get me down."-The CarpentersWell, it is Monday. Memorial Day Monday, that is. And in Rexburg it has been raining and hailing little balls of ice. But you know what, it's not getting me down. My day has been great so far. No school today, for 1, is always good. And second, I went to Kiwi Loco with Bethany, her husband, and a couple of her friends and it was fun just getting to talk and eat some yummy yogurt..and did I mention healthy yogurt too?!Afterwards, I came home, got comfy in my blanket and started doing some homework. For my Education Technology class we had to make a video tutorial of something and us showing how to do it. I did a tutorial on how to edit a picture on www.picnik.com.Here it is: http://screencast.com/t/7nIEY6KGSD3I hope you can see that, if not..well, I guess you just have to believe me that I know how to make video tutorials!I don't have that much homework left, just some marriage skills homework, and some reading in my Book of Mormon class. So that makes me happy :)Well anyways, since today is Memorial Day, I think it is appropriate that I share this YouTube video with you. Me and my friends watched it last night, we all cried. So...enjoy!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSMlIM9zLio&feature=player_embeddedThank you to all the troops, veterans, and family members of those who are serving. We appreciate you more than you can think! So, I just drank some V8 Berry Blend juice and let me just tell you it is DELICIOUS. If you haven't tried it you should go to the store and get some. It is delicious and healthy!
Welp, that seems to be all that is on my mind. Time to get back in the routine for school this week. Hope every
one has a great week and remember "They do not love, that do not show their love." -William Shakespeare

Weekend in the Burg
Hello!
This weekend is Memorial weekend! The past Memorial day weekends, I've always had soccer tournaments out of town, but not this one. I am in Idaho. All my roommates went to Utah for the weekend. It's been kind of nice having the place to myself, but overtime, I think I'd get lonely. And at night it gets a little scary, especially when the wind is blowing really strong. It's different not doing what I usually do for holidays now that I am in college. But, I guess that is the beauty of growing up.
I just updated my weebly site. For those who don't know what weebly is, it's just a site kind of like a blog, but you can add pages and what not. Mine is for a class, but we had to make it for our future class (my major is Elementary Education). Check it out sometime! (just click on "check" and it will take you there).
Anyways, I found a quote that I love, it's "There is no greater gift one human being can give another than the opportunity to learn and grow in a loving and nurturing learning environment." I cannot wait to teach!
A little thought....my bangs are getting too long. (please ignore the nerdy mirror picture, it was just easier to capture the longness of my bangs)
Anyways, my good friend Bethany broke her collarbone playing soccer. This crazy girl on the other team ninja-ed the ball in the air and somehow KNEED Bethany in the collarbone, while Bethany was standing up. How could anyone possible knee someone else in the collarbone, while they were standing up you ask? Well, that is a question we will never know. Well, now she can't really work out hard. So I have been going to the gym and biking with her! It has been way fun! We people watch and talk most of the time, so the working out part doesn't seem too hard! It's been way fun getting to know her and becoming better friends with her. Our other friend Alex joined in once. We decided we are going to make a biking crew. It's going to be way fun, I'm excited. We'll take pictures and show you :)
Yesterday, I went and saw Pirates 4 with my friend Rachel in 3D! It was good, but I miss Kiara Knightley and Orlando Bloom. Other than that, it was pretty good!
Today was easy going. Just another bike session with Bethany, then the store to buy some food. I made chocolate chip cookie sandwiches. It's where you make chocolate chip cookies and then put vanilla frosting in the middle. SO delicious. I also took a nice long nap. It was well deserved and needed!
I got to skype my sister yesterday! It was so good talking to her and seeing my nephews! Jack got his first haircut and he looks so grown up! His curls are gone, but he still looks adorable. Baby Max is growing too. He was staring at the screen wondering what was going on. I can't wait to go home and see those little bebes!!
Welp, that's about all for now. Catch ya later!

Tulips and Inspiration
Welp it's Wednesday, that's right, hump day. I think I really like Wednesdays because it means that there is just two more days in the week until the weekend.
Right now, I am watching my roommate hula dance. She is way good and knows how to shake it! I tried doing it, and let me just say, you have to have a LOT of leg muscle endurance. It is tough work!
Today was a beautiful day in Rexburg. The sun was shining and it was around 60 degrees. People were out studying on the grass and enjoying the weather as much as I was. During this time of year, the campus is full of tulips! My favorite flower! There are red ones, pink ones, yellow ones, and orangeish ones. So pretty. I took a picture, but I think I am going to take more this weekend!
This weekend is Memorial day. A time to remember those who have and are still serving for our country. What a blessing it is to have a country that is FREE. This was only made possible by those who have served and risked their lives to make that happen.
"And they who for their country die shall fill an honored grave, for glory lights the soldier's tomb, and beauty weeps the brave." -Joseph Drake
THANK YOU to all the veterans and soldiers out there, my heart goes out to YOU.
Another thing that I have been thinking about is those with disabilities. The blind, deaf, special, and many more. I am SO impressed with these people. They are perfect. They have such a SWEET spirit. They also have an ora around them where you can just tell that they have something different about them. I work with a kindergarten class and I went to their talent show today. There was the cutest little deaf girl who did a dance routine with her ballerina doll. I can't think of the song she danced to (which is bugging the crud out of me), but it was a soothing one, and she was just so happy and had so much joy in her soul. After she finished and came off stage, she ran to her seat with her arms up with the biggest smile on her face. It was the sweetest thing. I felt the spirit so strong. That little girl made my day 10 times better, just by the sweet spirit and energy she carries with her.
Also, to go along with this, my mom texted me today saying, "I see you, I hear you, and what you say matters to me." So sweet of her to send that to me, but I was a little confused about it, so I asked her what she meant. She explained that it was Oprah's last show and she was saying some excellent quotes and speaking all kinds of truths. Another quote she sent me was, "You're worthy because you are born and because you are here. Your being here, your being alive makes worthiness your birthright. You alone are enough." I never thought about me being here like that. It speaks so loud to me and makes me want to share that with who is around me, because it is so true. Great quote! Lastly, my mom sent me an email (I love when my mom sends me little random messages that make my day) that is another great quote that ties in with those special people I talked about. There was a lady, Jill Bolte Taylor who was a 37-year-old, Harvard-educated brain scientist who suffered a massive stroke in the left part of her brain. She couldn't speak or remember her own mother, but when doctors and nurses walked into her room, she knew from the right brain who was on her side. She could feel their energy. I absolutely agree with this 100%. For example, when the little kindergarten girl I watched practiced, when the lady who was in charge of the music was talking to another teacher about it, she stopped dancing because she could see and feel their franticness. Also, another example is on the movie, Dear John, the dad has autism and another little boy in the movie does too. Through the movie it shows them and how they act, and they can tell when things are going bad. It is just unbelievable how perfect and sweet their spirits are. I think little kids are like this too. They just have the sweetest innocent spirit. I think this is why I LOVE working with little kids. Even though I am older than them and should be teaching them, really, they are the ones teaching me.
"Dance as though no one is watching you. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Sing as though no one can hear you. Live as though heaven is on earth."

First Post
Welp, welcome to my blog! Quite exciting I know. This is my first post, so I will try to say things of somewhat importance!
I decided to make a blog for 2 reasons:
1-It's easier to write online, than in a journal. (So, you will be reading some thoughts, stories, quotes, etc. from me....get excited!!)
2-I wanted to make my own site, to make it look somewhat cute.
So, this week went by fast. The days went by fast, because I was busy with homework and other fun festivities. But, homework was the main key. Math might be kicking my rear end right now. I have a B in the class, which isn't bad, but an A sounds much better. So, hello math tutor! In my World Foundations II class we are talking about classical music, and I decided, I really like classical music. It is just so soothing and it makes me want to go to a ball and wear a pretty dress...kinda like the one Taylor Swift wears in her music video Love Story.
ps. I love Taylor Swift.Anyways, I am on a competitive soccer team called the Vikings, and we are BOMB.com, but seriously. We are undefeated. We had a game tonight and played against a team that was a little rough. They broke our teammate's collarbone. So keep her in your prayers! It's a good thing we beat them, or else there would have been a serious beat down after the game. But anyways, I love my team:)
Well, I'm pretty sure I will have more exciting post from now on. I'm just getting started, so cut me some slack!
Oh, and my name is Lizzie :)
